The Bastet Lamp by Dea Domus (the studio of multidisciplinary artist Sophie Frost) is a hand-built stoneware ceramic lamp that blurs the boundary between sculpture and function. Composed of rounded forms and a central arched opening, the lamp carries a strong totemic presence, with multiple exposed bulbs extending outward. The surface is richly patterned with hand-painted marks and contrasting graphic motifs, combining dark, textured areas with lighter, gestural detailing that emphasises the handmade process. Both playful and commanding, the piece reflects Dea Domus’ fine-art approach to ceramics, where object-making becomes a dialogue between form, material, and expressive design.

Created by Sophie Frost under her Dea Domus studio, the Bastet Table combines wood and stoneware into a cohesive sculptural form. The tabletop is composed of dark wood, punctuated by a central inlaid motif and surrounded by six circular details. Beneath each, a hand-thrown ceramic pot forms the table’s feet, lending the piece a grounded feel. Subtle surface marks and variations in the clay reveal the hand of the maker. The piece reflects Frost’s commitment to slow processes and the intersection of craft, fine art, and design.
