Leo Kaspar
Leo Kaspar is a multidisciplinary artist working between London and Devon. His glassmaking process involves heating glass and 'slumping' it over an object to create the form - one of the earliest forms of glassmaking. His work is characterised by levity in weight: playfulness and colour set within a luxurious jumbling of shape and mass. Leo creates objects that invite reflection through exploring the contradictions of transparency and obscurity, absorption and dispersion, chance and intention.
Part of Leo Kaspar’s Zaktly Series, the Valley Blue Bowl embodies a serene yet dynamic expression in glass. Its gently curving form and expansive diameter create a harmonious silhouette, while the rich blue surface evokes depth and fluidity. The glass’s clarity and colour saturation play with light in subtle ways, bringing visual movement to the piece.
